MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College’s Chapter of the Psi Beta Honor Society held its 2nd Annual Induction Ceremony in Walter E. Edge Theater on the Mays Landing campus before numerous friends, family, and college faculty, staff and classmates on April 24.

“Psi Beta provides national recognition and serves as an aid for stimulating interest in psychology as an academic and professional field of endeavor. The knowledge gained from the study of psychology is applicable to any career,” said Madeline Barrows, assistant professor, Psychology. “Students feel a sense of community with others in psychology. As they learn more about the larger field of psychology, members are eligible to win national awards in research and community service.”

Examples of community efforts they took part in this past year, Psi Beta members engineered a toiletry drive for Sister Jean’s Kitchen in Atlantic City and held a gathering where they assembled 325 blessing guides for Angels in Motion.

Associate Professor Dr. Beth Sanders-Rabinowitz offered encouragement to the student honorees.
